We had a great stay at this cozy little hotel that was located just off the Coast to Coast bike route. It was a perfect location to rest up after a long bike ride and enjoy the spectacular views of the North Pennines. Our room was small but comfortable, and the friendly staff provided us with everything we needed, including a hot meal and sunscreen! the bathroom was clean and well-equipped, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. the only downside was the lack of milk in the coffee-making facilities.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the North Pennines. It offers great value for money, especially for those seeking an unspoilt area away from the hustle and bustle of tourism. The location is ideal for exploring Weardale and the stunning walks and scenery nearby. The staff here are first-rate, providing attentive service and making us feel very welcome. The rooms, although on the smaller side, were well-equipped with modern amenities including a flat-screen TV, microwave, and coffee-making facilities. The highlight for me and my son was the full breakfast cooked to order by our host, which was absolutely perfect.
All was spot on, nothing to improve.
